Uniting fiction and non-fiction, this work considers relationships between humans and animals. Composed episodically, the narrative proceeds from the perspective that culture is no longer surrounded by nature but is itself all-surrounding, with "nature" now narrowly confined to prescribed, often protected zones, changing the balance between animals and people. Wild animals, migrating animals and those we encounter in language and imagination form the content of the work's four scenes.
