This intensive three-week laboratory offers young artists, age 18-30, the unique opportunity to investigate site-specific art integrating live performance and new digital technology. Through daily interaction with some of today's most innovative, multidisciplinary artists, students explore institutional architectures, urban contexts, and online communities as sites for public action. The Institute also provides access to The Kitchen's extraordinary video archive of performance documentation, bringing to light the important explorations that have made The Kitchen a center of multimedia activity for 30 years.
